But the Star-Child heeded not their words (но Звездный Мальчик не обращал внимания на их слова; to heed — обращать внимание, учитывать), but would frown and flout (но хмурился и насмехался/выражал презрение), and go back to his companions (и возвращался к своим товарищам), and lead them (и командовал: «руководил» ими). And his companions followed him (и его товарищи следовали за ним), for he was fair (потому что он был прекрасен), and fleet of foot (и быстроног; fleet — быстрый), and could dance (и мог танцевать), and pipe (играть на дудке), and make music (и музицировать/сочинять музыку). And wherever the Star-Child led them (и куда бы не вел их Звездный Мальчик) they followed (они следовали за ним), and whatever the Star-Child bade them do (и чтобы не приказывал ми сделать Звездный Мальчик; to bid (bade, bidden)), that did they (они это делали).
